Catholic Preschool Fatima

of the Rabi Catholic Preschool Fatima, Sept 2003

The preschool was established by Sister Teneti Bakarereua F.D.N.S.C. from the society of Our Daughters of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart from Kiribati in the year 2000.

When Sister Teneti left, she was replaced by Sister Tarai, and then came Sister Bernadette with the two sisters, Sister Monica and Sister Isabel.

It was during Sister Bernadette’s time that Cyclone Ami struck in Jan 2003 and totally damaged the pre school building.

We have no parish priest here and we are served by a priest form the main island of Vanua Levu (Fiji) which is about 7 miles away (by sea).

We therefore request any form of assistance to our preschool as follows:

Educational materials like jig saw puzzles, library books, crayons, charts, magazine and toys.

Any thing that could be provided and we would be very grateful. If you could help with our building too, it would be so appreciated.

Thanking you all in advance

Sister Bernadette
